Heritage Park is a great and family friendly spot. This park has something for everyone and is a wonderful part of the Flower Mound community built by the community. After being built in 2012 it has undergone 3 updates and is currently in its last construction phase that will add more trails, wildflower areas, nature observation platform, disc golf course, and so much more. The town is determined to make this the best park in Flower Mound.
A new splash pad just opened on April 28, 2018 and is a popular addition to Heritage Park. Stop by on a weekend during the hot summer and the splash pad is packed with children having so much fun with the 14 unique water features. Parents can enjoy it too as it is fully shaded and there are a lot of chairs for parents to sit back and watch their kids splash around.
Right next to the new splash pad is Fort Wildflower, a large playground area with the padded turf perfect for new walkers. There are 2 separate sections of Fort Wildflower; one big play area for older kids and then Tot-town which is perfect for toddlers. There are activities for autistic children and lots of fun for all kids to enjoy.
Needing a place to have a kid’s birthday party or family reunion? You can rent the large pavilion through the town. There are several picnic tables throughout the park so if you have a small group, take advantage of all the picnic tables. There’s also a long trail called Bluebonnet trail that goes throughout Flower Mound.
One of the features that not many people take advantage of is the duck pond/water fountain that is separate from the playground. This is a great area to take family pictures or feed the ducks. Heritage Park is well maintained, offers bathrooms and has a lot of shaded parking so get out and enjoy this one of a kind park that Flower Mound has to offer!
Heritage Park is located at 600 Spinks Rd. Flower Mound, TX.
