“Where everybody knows your name” should be playing at What’s on Tap, a beer cafe located in Highland Village. Owner Brad Trapnell spent 15 years in the corporate real estate world and decided he didn’t want to pursue that career anymore. He had always been passionate about beer but specifically craft beer. After spending some time in downtown Dallas at breweries and different bars, he wanted something cool that offered local craft beers in his own neighborhood. What’s on Tap opened in 2002 and continues to offer unique craft beer in a friendly atmosphere.
You have the option of enjoying their delicious beer selection on premise or to go. They allow you to bring in your own growler to fill or you can purchase one from them and fill it up with your favorite craft beer to enjoy in the comforts of your own home. Typically they carry over 40 different taps of beer, ciders, wine, and non-alcoholic root beer.
The beer selection is always changing so your favorite beer could change. They are big on seasonal beers and those are their most popular along with IPA. They have a small selection of food but craft beer is their specialty. Although they serve alcohol, What’s on Tap is a family friendly establishment as they offer delicious root beer. Wednesday nights are pint nights and they rotate a special each week. If you are looking for a neat date night or a different place to wind down after work, What’s on Tap has a low key ambiance and friendly service.
What’s on Tap is located at 2570 FM 407 #170 Highland Village, TX.
